Dejan Petko Trpkovic

During his career, Dejan held various world-wide executive management positions, setting up and expanding businesses in the emerging markets, improving financial performance and streamlining management and marketing processes and structures.

Dejan Trpkovic is an author of AKTUELNO TV, a prime business programming that is a part of the integrated media solution in southeast Europe. Most recently, Dejan helped B2B Interactive design and launch the Strategic Management program for executive education in the Balkan region, which has received an endorsement by the American Chamber of Commerce and IBM Business Solutions.

In 2001, Dejan formed PRODIREKT Consulting Group (www.prodirekt.net) in Belgrade to provide strategic management and human resources consultancy services to Western corporations as well as to local companies and foreign subsidiaries in the Balkans. As its founder, Dejan is responsible for the vision and strategy of the PRODIREKT group.

In 2000, prior to founding PRODIREKT, Dejan Trpkovic established PRODIDE (www.prodide.net), a marketing and PR agency based in Belgrade, as a leading integrated marketing communications company in the region. Prodide has been behind a number of referenced and complex regional projects, such as, the creation of visual identity and media strategy for the Serbian Government’s European Integration Office.

In 1998/99, as Vice President, Western Europe of World-Link UK, a global integrated telecom solutions provider based in New York, Dejan established the Central Office facilities in London. While heading the London head office, Dejan managed the set up of switching facilities (over $2mil.), negotiated carrier contracts, had P&L and balance sheet responsibility and supervised the operations of EUROLINK, a Greek subsidiary and a licensed telecom carrier.

During 1997-1998, Dejan consulted on various business strategy projects, such as "Modernizing consumer banking in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the implementation of an EFT network, credit card issuance, and related telecommunications system."

From 1993-96, as Regional Director of Hasbro (a Fortune 500 company), Dejan had full P&L responsibility for the Central and East European operations. While managing the head office in Vienna, two subsidiaries in Poland and Hungary, and 17 regional distributors, Dejan more than tripled the profitability of Hasbro's business in the region. In 1995, he formed HASBRO's regional head office in Vienna, Austria. In 1994, Dejan directed the purchase of a local Polish distributor and every aspect of this new venture. HASBRO International proclaimed this business venture as their most successful investment in the emerging markets.

He began his career in 1989 as Regional Manager with TLSI in Denver, Colorado, where he managed its international operations and developed executive training programs.

Dejan holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro and a master's of business administration degree from University of Colorado.


Zvonko Dzokic

As spec. neurologist & psychiatrist, internationally recognized psychotherapist and the expert in interpersonal communication skills, Zvonko Dzokic is leading PRODIREKT group’s management and HR development programs.

Zvonko’s international experience and expertise include, but is not limited to:

Zvonko is the author of over 50 publications that were presented and published in regional and international journals, congresses, symposiums and conferences, and three books “Psychodrama” (the first book published on this subject in the Balkans), “Creative Process and Psychoanalysis” and “Who is The Next” (drama).

Zvonko’s affiliations include: National Delegate in EAP (European Association for Psychotherapy) and member of the Board of EAP (1996-2002), Member of the Geneva Initiative on Psychiatry, and President of the Macedonian Psychodrama Association. Zvonko Dzokic is also a Founder and Chief of the Expert Board of the Stress Management Center (first of such type in the region), 1992.

After graduating from Medical Faculty, University of Skopje in 1983, Zvonko completed his postgraduate practice in 1985. He continued with a specialization in Neurology and Psychiatry in 1991, and acquired the Clinical Level in Psychodrama Certificate from British Psychodrama Association in 1991 and Psychodrama Practitioner Certificate in 1994.



Steven Damron
Board of Directors, Advisory Member

Steven's unique blend of management, technology and start-up experience will be a valuable asset as PRODIREKT develops its business in the Balkan region.

Steven Damron is CEO of Zone Reactor, a company formed by Zone Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson to accelerate the formation of high tech companies. Zone Reactor works with existing high tech companies to discover and develop technology locked in the R&D labs of those companies.

Before joining Zone Reactor, Steven spent 4 years at idealab!, the Pasadena-based Internet incubator. He served as CEO of EntertainNet and KidsOnLine.com, two idealab! start-ups. He also consulted with many idealab! start-ups on business planning and strategy while directly employed by idealab!.

Steven was an early employee at Sun Microsystems. In his 11 years at Sun, he held sales, marketing and service management positions, usually developing new business lines from the ground up.

Prior to Sun, Steven was a Software Engineer for ADAC Labs, a manufacturer of medical imaging devices, and a Research Physicist at SRI International, a multi-disciplinary consulting organization.

Steven holds a B.A. in Physics and English from Dartmouth College and a master's of business administration degree from U.C. Berkeley.
 


Chris Galea
Board of Directors, Advisory Member

PRODIREKT will greatly benefit from Chris' broad based advertising agency background embracing start-up, small, medium and large agencies and his extensive international experience at Senior Management level covering Europe, Emerging Markets, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Sub Continent.

At his present position as a Global Client Service Director, for TBWA Worldwide,
Chris is responsible for the management of local agency and network resources on key global clients including caliber, structure, best practice, profitability, business/brand development and provision of supplementary strategic support across a variety of international markets from Mexico to Russia, Spain to Japan, Peru to Malaysia.

Prior to TBWA, Chris was Regional Client Service Director for Grey Asia Pacific responsible for managing the Glaxo SmithKline business and Danone International brands in over 22 markets across the Asia region.

Previously he was Managing Director/Partner for Focus on Kids Ltd., where he managed Tomy, WH Smith, MGM, CWL and Hasbro brands and Regional General Manager, Europe & Emerging Markets for DDB Needham/Griffin Bacal, where he developed a record of accomplishment in establishing and maintaining long-term complex client relationships based on focused, consistent client service and disciplined account management.

Chris holds a degree in Psychology with honors from University of Lancaster.


Mihail Arandarenko
Board of Directors, Member

Mihail's positions include:

  • fellow at Collegiums Budapest - Institute for Advanced Study in 1999-2000
  • research fellow at the Center for Policy Studies, Central European University, Budapest and at the Institute for Sociology, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, in 2000-2001
  • research associate at Wissenschaftszentrum zu Berlin (Social Science Research Center Berlin) since 1999
  • Board of Directors member at Alternative Academic Educational Network (1998-1999)
  • associate expert at Center for Policy Studies, Belgrade (1998 - present)
  • assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics of Belgrade University until 1999
His research interests include labor markets, industrial relations, social policy and the problems of economic sociology. Mihail is involved in a regional project "Blue Bird - Agenda for Civil Society in South East Europe" as a research coordinator of the Group on Social Inclusion.

He has published extensively in Serbian and English, some of the recent papers being "Waiting for the Workers: Explaining Labor Quiescence in Serbia," in S. Crowley and D. Ost: "Workers After Workers' States," Rowman and Littlefield, 2001, and "Endogenous Corruption in Emerging Industrial Relations," with M. Milovanovic, CERGE GDN Research Competition paper, Prague. He is co-editor of the book "Economic Theory in Transition" with Dj. Suvakovic, Belgrade University, 1997.

Mihail has earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Economics in 1998, where he also acquired M.A. and B.A. degrees in Economics in 1993 and 1987 respectively.
